Do you have blueberry bushes but are afraid to prune them for fear of making a mistake? Do you wish your bushes produced bigger, better berries? Join QQ Farm Manager, Leslie Harris, and the QQ farm crew for a hands on workshop about pruning blueberry bushes. Learn about blueberry growth habit, the importance of thinning for great fruit, and which tools our pruners prefer. You’ll work alongside our crew to prune some of Quonquont’s blueberry bushes. Bring your own tools or use some of ours. Dress for the weather as much of this class will be held outdoors. Registration includes instruction, hands on pruning, and light refreshments. $30.00

We'll discuss possibilities for fencing and ornamental structures and use locally sourced vines, branches, and apple prunings to make a standing trellis for your favorite climbing plants. We'll be experimenting with color for our 3rd Flowery Evening.  Our challenge will be to choose one flower and build two strikingly different color combinations around it.  Join us for drinks and light refreshments, an introduction to the color wheel, and tour of the cutting garden at the height of bloom.  Each participant will pick a bucket of flowers and create two small arrangements to take home.  Come and explore your artistic side while enjoying a summer evening at the Farm.
