Event Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations
Hours: Full time, exempt
Function: Work with the event team to make sure all details are attended to leading up to and throughout the event. Be a liaison for guests and vendors during events. Manage coordinators and seasonal staff to create an efficient & harmonious environment. This position will communicate growing business needs with the owners and director of operations.

This position is key in ensuring that events are executed to the highest standard and to help drive the continued growth of Quonquont Farm by unlocking future opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team and play an active role in creating the strategic framework for the success of each client, from sales to execution. Leverage and help improve the planning process to achieve/exceed results, improve customer relationships with efficient execution. 
  • Outline strategies and makes recommendations to grow sales and increase profits for Quonquont Farm. Outlines steps to implementing the plan. 
  • Participates in creation and adhering to the annual budget.
  • Assist in the maintenance, training, cleanliness, and proper functioning of all event spaces and vehicles by all event staff. 
  • Lead, manage, engage, and provide long-term development guidance to direct reports, working to build a successful team. 
  • Collaborate with the farm and event team to outline and execute plans for smooth transitions between each event. 
  • Ensure that supplies are in stock and organized 
  • Ensure accurate representation of Quonquont Farm through marketing of the event space. 

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • At Least 4 years of experience in event coordination or related field with at least one year in a supervisory capacity. 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, stooping, bending, carrying/ lifting up to 40 lbs, grasping, reaching, working in the heat of the summer. 
  • Work various hours including nights and weekends as the schedule dictates
